Artists draw inspiration from many sources. In Northeast Georgia, artists and crafters will give many reasons as to what prompts their creations. We encourage you to visit and find out just what inspires the multitude of artists who write, draw, paint and create other works of art and crafts here in Northeast Georgia. Main Streets and Better Hometowns are scattered throughout the region. They a wonderful variety of items, such as antiques, collectibles, books, art, crafts, coffee houses, tea rooms, restaurants, and much more.
For those who love a bargain, Northeast Georgia boasts an upscale outlet center, North Georgia Premium Outlets in
Dawsonville on GA 400. Banks Crossing @ I-85 is an overnight must with complex of three outlet centers ~ Tanger Outlet Center, Commerce Factory Stores, & The Pottery. The Alpine Village Factory Outlets in Helen is changing it's focus to include a variety of shops, not just outlet shops.Shops and malls with large and wonderful collectibles, period & primitive antiques can be found in Blairsville, Clarkesville, Clayton, Dillard, Gainesville, and Toccoa, as well as dotted throughout the whole region.
If you're looking for fresh produce or a treasure that someone else thinks is junk, then check out all the local farmer's markets and flea markets.
If you can name it, you can probably find it in Northeast Georgia.
