Fall Foliage

E-mail

Fall color in Georgia starts earliest in north Georgia and moves southward across the state. The peak fall color in north Georgia can occur between the second and fourth week in October.  Trying to predict the peak of fall color year to year, though, is difficult. Much depends on the weather and the microclimate around each tree.

Fortunately, Georgia's variety of tree species ensures you can count on a show of fall colors, just not as re-run.  Whether hiking a trail, camping, or driving a scenic route, enjoy the colorful autumn scenery provided by Georgia’s forests & trees.
